The co-author of Donald Trump’s best book The Art of the Deal says he will resign in the coming weeks.
Tony Schwartz, who helped the president write his book back when he was just a businessman, made the prediction on Twitter.
He said: ‘The circle is closing at blinding speed. Trump is going to resign and declare victory before Mueller and congress leave him no choice.
‘Trump’s presidency is effectively over. Would be amazed if he survives till end of the year. More likely resigns by fall, if not sooner.’
Schwartz has turned up the heat against Trump this week by constantly assassinating his character.
He said: ‘Remember that every time Trump criticizes and demeans someone he is projecting his deep sense of inadequacy and self-hatred onto others.’
In a separate tweet which he’s since deleted, he went after Trump’s children and then apologized, adding: ‘Yesterday I criticized Trump’s children, and today deleted the tweet. I don’t know them and I want to keep my comments focused on Trump.’
It has long been predicted that Trump would leave the White House before his colleagues got the chance to ever impeach him.
But say that didn’t happen, how could impeachment take place?
Well, the wheels are already in motion.
Trump officially had an article of impeachment filed against him by Democratic congressmen Al Green and Brad Sherman last month.
They felt strongly that Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey constituted an ‘obstruction of justice’ when it came to the Russia election investigation.
Obstruction of justice is grounds for impeachment, if proven.
