Shazam and Snapchat have collaborated and now you can use Shazam within Snapchat to recognise, discover and share music.

Basically, you can use Shazam straight from your Snapchat app.
If you press and hold the main camera screen on Snapchat, it will listen for nearby audio.
You can then send the song as a snap to your friends.
If you want to keep track of the songs you have discovered through shazaming on Snapchat you can find the list of songs you have shazamed under ‘Settings’ in Snapchat.
You could use the handy feature at a concert or a festival to mark the artist’s song you want to listen to again.
Unfortunately, for avid Shazam users, you cannot sync your Shazams from your Snapchat app to the Shazam app or visa versa.
How to use Shazam through Snapchat.
You’re listening to the radio or in a supermarket and you’re hearing a song and either you can’t remember the name or you have never heard it before.
To use the reliable song recognition app Shazam through Snapchat all you have to do is hold down on your camera screen and let the app listen to the music for 5 seconds and the name of the song and the artist will pop up.
You do not need a Shazam account to use this feature on Snapchat, you don’t even need to download the Shazam app to use this snazzy feature on your Snapchat account.
How to see your Shazam history on Snapchat.
To see your Shazam history over Snapchat you need to swipe down on the main Snapchat camera screen and click the top right cog icon to enter the Snapchat setting page.
Scroll down on the Snapchat settings page and it will be listed under the ‘My Account’ section, click on ‘Shazam’ to see your song history.
Once you have gone through the Shazam song identification process on Snapchat the song will then appear in your Shazam history on Snapchat.
How to share a Shazam in Snapchat.
Once you have heard a song you don’t know and you hold down on the Snapchat camera screen to tag the song then new icons will appear to let you decorate your Snap just as you normally would with stickers and filters.
